If you're receiving 29,950 FP in GB rewards (for instance, you donate 29,950 FO to a 1.99 thread) each day and you level your Arc from 179 to 180, it will take about 3 years to break even. 30k FP in rewards isn't that high; I bring in 20k just from sniping, not counting 1.9 threads. It will be done as efficiently as possible, so for example if the reward is 19 FPs, you will receive one 10 FP pack, one 5 FP pack, and two 2 FP packs. This adds up to 19 total FPs returned to you for the reward. You can place on a GB in a couple different ways. The first way many encounter, and try, are with the general swaps in a guild.

It's the best and fastest way to level gbs and collect medals. Your only fp loss is your backfill. You get back all the fp you donate. Multiply the fp reward by 1.9 and that's how much that spot costs. Owner of the building is responsible for making those spots lockable at 1.9. i saw the calculator linked in a previous comment.
