Hi I hope someone can help i have a 2003 c3 pluriel sensodrive The car will not select reverse when the engine is running and will not rev up and drive when put in any gear, and after selecting 1 it will then go into 2 and snowflake flashes. I have no..
The problem with the C3 and quite probably the C2 is the plug/socket connections. Just unplugging and replugging can change something from not working to working and it happens the other way too. There is a topic on Improving poor ECU plug connections and conductivity for the Citroen C3 that covers the ECU connections, but the problem isn't
The bad news is that the Sensodrive gearbox has a reputation (that it has earned) for being problematic and expensive to repair. It is, in effect, an manual gearbox with robotic actuators. I know of a Forum member who had a car with such a gearbox; it cost about £1,000 to get the problems sorted but he had lost all trust in the car, so he sold it.

Question is can a persistent movement of the gear stick in the wrong direction (in hopes of changing the gear to reverse) cause the car to stop responding and fail to start? i.e in order to change it into reverse, you need to first shift it right and then

The Citroen C3 1.6 Exclusive has High seats and comfortable to drive. Front Window bars to thick on roundabouts can block out whole cars. Poor gear exchange in 1st to Auto. Bad follow up on problems. Really sorry I bought this car before I'd read other peoples comments. Hello guys, My wife has got a Citroen c3 1.6 sensodrive from 2003. A few times the car stopped while driving. There is a sign of a snowflake on the dashbord and it says AUTO and the car won t drive. The engine is on and running but the gear box doesn..

Realistically sensodrive gearboxes are a nightmare. My wife had a 2004 1.4 16V sensodrive. You may find a gearbox reset as stated above helps but problems will only get worse.
Just to rule out a problem with the gear 'lever' (actually an electrical switch) have it in neutral & unplug the lever/switch then pull the downshift gearchange paddle twice, This is the back up to get it in reverse if the 'lever' fails. It's worth a shot before splashing out on a new ECU.
