When updating the instrument cluster in a Focus MK3 to MK3.5 software you will loose the sound of the reverse sensors and in case of Active Park Assist you will loose both the sound and the visual image on the FCDIM. The only way to solve this is by installing a MK3.5 PAM (Parking Assistance Module).

Lower steering. Remove bottom trim for cluster. Remove 2 x T20 screws at bottom of cluster. Use a plastic wedge and slide between the top of the cluster , there are normally 2 metal clips and pull forward. Unclip plug at the rear of the instrument cluster. Hey everyone, i just (today) bought a ford focus - and noticed this issue. Its been on for around 20 minutes now, and looking at similar posts, there could either be a whole host of issues OR its completely normal and the car is just taking its time shutting down and powering off.
